Una Tarde de Colores, Un Viaje de Fe.
Hay ciertos momentos que permanecen grabados para siempre en nuestros corazones, no solo por la alegría que brindaron, sino por la evidencia visible de la mano divina que los guio. En un hermoso sábado de finales de marzo, más de 35 mujeres se reunieron para un evento especial organizado por el Departamento del Ministerio de la Mujer de la Iglesia Western Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church en North Sunshine. Lo que comenzó como un simple plan para disfrutar de un día de pintura juntas, floreció hasta convertirse en un profundo testimonio de fe, la fortaleza de la comunidad y el poder innegable de la oración.
Buscando guía en medio de la incertidumbre
Cuando Angélica, asistente del Ministerio de la Mujer, y yo comenzamos a conceptualizar este evento, nuestra visión era sencilla y brillante: imaginamos un día de creatividad y compañerismo inmersas en la belleza natural de Brimbank Park. Visualizamos un santuario al aire libre donde las damas pudieran expresar sus pensamientos internos a través del color, inspiradas por los árboles y el cielo abierto. Sin embargo, como sabe cualquier habitante de Melbourne, el clima en esta ciudad es famosamente impredecible y, a menudo, indiferente a los planes mejor elaborados.
A medida que se acercaba la fecha, el pronóstico se volvía cada vez más sombrío. Con una lista de damas de nuestra iglesia y visitas de nuestra comunidad, nos enfrentamos a una elección desalentadora: ¿cancelamos la actividad y decepcionamos a quienes la esperaban con ansias, o buscamos un milagro? Elegimos orar. Pusimos cada detalle en manos de Dios, pidiendo una guía específica para encontrar una nueva ubicación bajo techo en solo dos días, una tarea que parecía casi imposible con tan poco tiempo de antelación.
Una oración contestada con gracia
La rapidez con la que nuestras oraciones fueron contestadas fue verdaderamente asombrosa. En menos de 48 horas, Dios abrió las puertas del salón de la Iglesia de Croatian Seventh-Day Adventist Church en St. Albans. Gracias a Su provisión oportuna, no tuvimos que cancelar nuestros planes; a pesar de las pesadas nubes afuera, el evento seguía adelante con un renovado sentido de propósito.
Ver llegar a las mujeres al lugar es un recuerdo que atesoraré de por vida. Mientras cada dama entraba al salón, lucía una sonrisa radiante, entrando en un espacio donde inmediatamente se la hizo sentir bienvenida, amada y única. Elsa, una visitante regular de nuestra iglesia local, junto con su madre, dedicaron su tiempo a las decoraciones y el catering. Juntas, hicieron un trabajo increíble creando una atmósfera de elegancia y calidez. Los incansables esfuerzos de Elsa aseguraron que cada asistente se sintiera profundamente apreciada y especial desde el primer momento en que entró al salón.
Reflexiones del corazón
El verdadero impacto de la tarde se capturó mejor en las palabras de las propias mujeres. Mientras entraban, observé cómo se transformaban sus expresiones. Por todo el salón, comenzaron a surgir voces de gratitud y alegría:
"Hoy me siento como una princesa."
"Me siento increíblemente especial."
"Siento una sensación de relajación que realmente necesitaba."
"No esperaba algo tan hermoso."
Más allá de los lienzos y la vibrante pintura, se estaba produciendo un refrigerio espiritual. A través de testimonios personales, oraciones y cantos de alabanza, sentimos la presencia inconfundible del Espíritu Santo moviéndose entre nosotras. Llegamos como un grupo de personas dispuestas a completar una tarea, pero al final del día, nos fuimos como una hermandad: animadas, conectadas y renovadas espiritualmente.
Un testimonio de fe
Al mirar atrás, queda claro que Dios dirigió este evento desde su inicio. Estoy llena de una gratitud abrumadora por cómo Él convirtió nuestros obstáculos en oportunidades para ser testigos de Su gracia. Fue más que una tarde llena de colores; fue una tarde de milagros que demostró, una vez más, que cuando confiamos en Dios, Él hace de lo imposible una hermosa realidad.

There are certain moments that remain forever etched in our hearts, not just for the joy they brought, but for the visible evidence of the Divine Hand that guided them. On a beautiful Saturday in late March, over 35 women gathered for a special event organised by the Women’s Ministries Department of the Western Spanish Adventist Church in North Sunshine. What began as a simple plan to enjoy a day of painting together blossomed into a profound testament to faith, the strength of community, and the undeniable power of persistent prayer.
Seeking Guidance Amid Uncertainty
When Angelica, the Assistant of Western Spanish's Women’s Ministries, and I first began conceptualising this event, our vision was simple and bright. We imagined a day of creativity and fellowship immersed in the natural beauty of Brimbank Park, envisioning an outdoor sanctuary where the ladies could express their inner thoughts through colour, inspired by the trees and the open sky. However, as any Melburnian knows, the weather in this city is famously unpredictable and often indifferent to the best-laid plans.
As the date approached, the forecast grew increasingly bleak. With a guest list that continued to expand and many visitors from our wider community eager to participate, we faced a daunting choice: cancel the activity and disappoint those looking forward to it, or search for a miracle? We chose to pray. We placed every detail in God’s hands, asking for specific guidance to find a new, sheltered location in just two days—a task that seemed nearly impossible on such short notice.
A Prayer Answered With Grace
The speed with which our prayers were answered was truly breathtaking. In less than 48 hours, God opened the doors of the Croatian Seventh-day Adventist Church hall in St. Albans. Because of His timely provision, we didn’t have to cancel our plans; despite the heavy clouds looming outside, the event was moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose.
Seeing the women arrive at the venue is a memory I will treasure for a lifetime. Each lady walked into the hall with a radiant smile, stepping into a space where they were immediately made to feel welcome, loved, and unique. Elsa, a regular visitor at our local church, and her mother dedicated their time to the decorations and catering. Together, they did an incredible job of creating an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. Elsa’s tireless efforts ensured that every attendee felt deeply appreciated from the moment they crossed the threshold.
Reflections Of The Heart
The true impact of the afternoon was best captured in the words of the women themselves. As they entered, I watched their expressions transform. Throughout the hall, voices of gratitude and joy began to rise:
“I feel like a princess today.”
“I feel so incredibly special.”
“I feel a sense of relaxation I truly needed.”
“I wasn’t expecting something this beautiful.”
Beyond the canvases and the vibrant paint, a spiritual refreshing was taking place. Through personal testimonies, heartfelt prayers, and songs of praise, we felt the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit moving among us. We arrived as a group of individuals ready to complete a task, but by the end of the day, we left as a sisterhood—encouraged, connected, and spiritually renewed.
A Testimony Of Faith
Looking back, it is clear that God directed this event from its very inception. I am filled with overwhelming gratitude for how He turned our obstacles into opportunities to witness His grace. Proverbs 16:3 says, 'Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your steps', so it was more than just an afternoon full of colours; it was an afternoon of miracles that proved, once again, that when we trust in God, He makes the impossible a beautiful reality. Praise be to our God!
