UPLIFT was truly inspirational and God touched many ladies.
Approximately 190 ladies joined us at Gilson College for a day of Prayer, Praise and Testimonies. We were also blessed by the beautiful music by “As One.”
Selba Luka shared her ministry and life experiences of trying to settle in Australia. Her struggles and challenges led her to establishing Afri-AusCare. Afri-AusCare aim is to decrease social isolation and to assist people to settle into Australia in a supported and cared for environment.
Tavia Daniels shared her testimony with her focal point being that God gives life, but God also takes life, but in-between it all, God is waiting and ready to bless us.
Amanda Bews shared her recent and tragic story of loss; loss of their home, their belongings, their pets. Their house burnt to the ground on 4th April leaving them homeless and destitute, them with only the clothes on their bodies. Yet in the middle of it all, they were supported and loved by people through God, giving them the hope, they needed to face tomorrow.
Our guest speaker Danni Synot shared some of her experiences, all captured in her book “Every Heart’s Cry.” Danni spoke about Moses and Joshua and how we can so often find ourselves stuck where we are. However, with Jesus all things are possible.
Danni also shared about the materials that she has provided for ladies to run a small group within their Churches. The Victorian Women’s Ministry Department are prepared to financially assist local Churches should funding be required. Women’s Ministry Victoria want to equip and empower ladies across generations and across cultural divides.
All these ladies had one thing in common, the love of Jesus and this was conveyed through their messages, their experiences, and their actions. When God loves us, all things are possible! God is a good God and although God does not promise us a life free from tragedy or trauma, God does promise that He will always be with us and He will never forsake us. God is a God of promise, a God of love, a God of forgiveness and a God who performs the impossible! Let us continue to share Him to those around us. Let us continue to UPLIFT all those that God places on our path, so that all praise can go to Him.
