Thang, who goes by the name Mark, has joined our pastoral team in 2021 as an intern.
His wife’s name is Niang Piand their daughter is Nunnuam, who is 4 and their two year old son is Zamung.
Mark finished his undergraduate course (Business Admin-Major and Theology-Minor) in 2000 at our Adventist College in Myanmar.  He worked two years then attended the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies in the Philippines for his graduate study, graduating in 2008 with Master in Business Administration and Master of Divinity.
He returned to Myanmar and worked for ADRA, then moved to Malaysia to work among Christian refugees from Myanmar.  Then in 2013 Mark moved to Australia.  He realised that there was a .Zomi tribal group in Melbourne, who do not speak the Myanmar national language or English well.  Seeing this need, he met with our Victorian Conference leaders to start a new Zomi tribal church group. The proposal was approved. since then he has been working as a lay pastoral worker for this church group which has progressed to a company.
As an intern, Mark is now working with Healesville SDA Church and Australian Zomi SDA Church Company.
Welcome Mark and Niang Piand.  May God continue to bless you on your journey serving Him.
