Status of our Adventist Churches in Victoria

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic the world is currently facing and Australian Government restrictions, our churches will comply with and operate within the clear guidelines as provided by DHHS for places of worship.

We are working to provide pastoral care to our people and in response to community need. People have lost jobs. Others are unwell. Stress is increasing. Our pastoral team has been working to find creative ways to meet needs and provide pastoral care, and will continue to do so, adhering to official guidelines as restrictions ease.

This means that for some time yet, our larger congregations may not be re-opening – please check with your local church leadership for updates.

On 7 July 2020 the Premier of Victoria announce a 6 week lockdown due to COVID19 to commence from midnight 8 July. The Conference Administrative Committee gave consideration to the ongoing practicality and safety of continuing to keep the Conference Office and Adventist Book Centre open given the return to Stage 3 restrictions.

From July 9, 2020, the Victorian Conference Office is closed to the public, EXCEPT by appointment.  Staff are however, continuing to serve diligently.

Reception is still active so call  (03) 9264 7777 or email   [email protected]

From July 9, 2020, the ABC store is also CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC but staff will still be working to meet your needs (more info here)

Churches within Greater Melbourne will also be subject to Stage 3 restrictions,  while those outside this region can continue to worship with up to 20 people as per previous guidelines.

What should I do?

Your church may still not be able to open, so contact your Pastor or Church Elder for more information via email or phone if needed.

Be sure to follow the these guidelines.

I want to worship on Sabbath!

Great! We’re here to serve you. While we can’t meet in person, we have Churches that are providing live streaming services on Sabbath. Past Sabbath worship videos are also available for you to watch.

These Churches are currently live-streaming.  Given that Places of Worship have now been closed our churches are streaming from elsewhere in compliance with the latest restrictions…  The below links will also take you to archives where you can access past sermons.

I have a question…

Current world issues have created a lot of questions in the community about what the Bible says regarding what’s happening at the present time.

Pr David Riley addresses some of these in a series of interactive webinars which have been made available at

Or if you would like to email your question please do so and we will endeavour to get back to you promptly.
