As you’re no doubt aware, our Prime Minister Scott Morrison has made a public apology to Australian survivors and victims of child sexual assault.
The Presidents of the South Pacific Division and the Australian Union Conference, Pastors Glenn Townend and Jorge Munoz have also made a public apology and the leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Victoria extend that apology to our members and others here in Victoria.
We apologise for the hurt people have felt by abuse that has happened here in Victoria, in our churches and institutions alike.
We add our support to the statement made in the Record by the Presidents of both SPD and AUC that we all must work together to ensure that there is zero tolerance for any emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
