New Community Centre
A new community centre and op shop will be coming soon to Springvale. A working group with Afri-Aus Care, Chisholm TAFE, South Sudanese Equatorians, Try Australia and ADRA will be creating pathways to education and employment.
Redwood Centre Update
Meet ADRA’s new TRUCK DRIVER – Barbara White! She answered our desperate call for a volunteer to deliver 300kgs of produce from SecondBite in Heidelberg to the Redwood Community Centre in Warburton – where 70 people are supported every Tuesday.
The Redwood Centre supports families and individuals experiencing hardship with emergency accommodation, food relief, referrals, health, youth programs, and now the Medical Clinic is open! Dr. Mahmood Bhatti is now available to treat patients Mondays through to Thursdays, 9am to 6pm.
ADRA’s Women’s and Families Project Update
Thank you to all the churches, pathfinder and adventurer groups who have been involved in supporting this project. From making over 120 care packs to removalist support to creating idyllic garden spaces for women and children to enjoy… Thank you.
Coming soon to our ADRA Op shops are Kwacha designs!
Kwacha is a Melbourne designer and dressmaker who brings her Malawian heritage, love of vintage and up-cycling to her unique designs. Her passion to train and equip other young women is inspirational and a new community centre with Afri-Aus Care Inc. will be launched in July to support her social enterprise and create pathways for education and employment.
All profits will support local ADRA projects for people who are experiencing hardship.
