Entering in to this time of the pandemic, Gilson College Church members have definitely recognised the positive journeys of each individual and how God has moved in everyone’s life differently. So they asked some of their church members to share what good God has done during the time of the pandemic, here are some exciting responses!

“During the early stages of the pandemic, Providence guided me to a virtual seat at an evangelistic series of a well-known pastor’s weeklong “Re-imagining God”. From just a few YouTube videos, my perspective of God flipped from a God who condemns because He is just, to a God whose mercy is revealed in His justice. Applying this perspective of God to my previous life experiences, I now knew that the God, who is Love, is the God who had allowed my trials and encounters to happen, so that I can grow into the person He created me to be.
“Motivated to share God, I decided to study His Word with the intention of discovering more about who He is, through the many stories in the Old and New Testament. Fast-forward, God has blessed me with opportunities to profess who He is to my work colleagues through my personal testimony and by sharing His Word with them.
“I praise God for the time given in this pandemic that has allowed for personal prayer and devotion, and has also enabled me to reflect, praise and declare His persona of love to those around me.”

“I have learnt to really live out the verse “be still and know that I am God”.
“For hours I have gone for a run or walk near my house listening to podcasts and deepening my understanding of God, His character and love, listening to praise songs and watching the swans I pass while walking grow up month after month.
“I’ve enjoyed the simplicity, and in this space I have found more time to question, wrestle, listen and grow… and simply be with God. “
