Excitement is building at Henderson College!

A Groundbreaking ceremony was beginning of June, to celebrate the commencement of a new Senior Hub, jointly funded by the Victorian State Government and Seventh-day Adventist Schools (VIC).

School Principal Mrs Sandra Ferry commented “The students are most excited and we are keen for construction to get under way.  The new senior hub will provide home rooms for our Year 9 and 10 students and will also incorporate a flexible learning space.

“Currently we are using rooms for multiple purposes therefore the new hub will allow for more dedicated specialised rooms.”

Adventist Schools Victoria director, Mr Brian Mercer, spoke to the students about the importance of the learning and this new hub will continue to support the strong foundation of learning built within Henderson.

The Groundbreaking ceremony was celebrated with the school captains and prefect turning the sod, in the presence of all students and visitors, the Chairman of the School Board and Weir Construction.
