“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12).

If 2020 has taught us anything thus far, it is that this world is ever-changing, and crises can develop very quickly. However, now is not the time to panic, but rather time to call upon the “infinite Creator”—the very One who made this world, and the One who will give us strength for these times.

This Sabbath, we invite all church members across Australia to unite for a special day of prayer and fasting. We invite you to pray for the current pandemic that is affecting millions around the world. To pray for those who have been affected by the virus, and their families. To pray for the healthcare professionals as they serve and heal, both here in Australia and abroad. Pray that the hand of God will continue to lead, guide and provide comfort in these times of anxiety.

We know that in this world that troubles will come, but we also know that we can “call upon God in faith” and be reassured that He hears and He cares.
