Children at the Heritage College Early Learning Centre (Narre Warren South campus) attended as special guests of the centre’s Grand Opening this week.
Visiting the centre to celebrate the project’s completion was the Hon. Gary Maas, member for Narre Warren South, as representative of the Victorian Governments’ support of the project. Mr Maas spent time in the Boronia Room and read a story to the children.
Director, Early Learning of Adventist Schools Victoria, Ms Leanne Munchan, thanked those who contributed to the project in a short address.
‘Receiving the grant for the project has enabled us to provide this wonderful service to the Casey community,’ she said.
‘Our centres pride themselves on excellence and the way that this team has worked together to deliver this project is remarkable,’ Ms Munchan said.
Also in attendance was Heritage College Principal, Mr Sonny Aiono, Heritage College Early Learning Centre Assistant Director Ms April Van Bezouwen, Kneeler Design Architects’ Mr Rob Bienvenu and representatives from Adventist Schools Victoria.
New and second-generation Heritage College families were in attendance and students from Heritage College Primary provided a short address.
The Heritage College Early Learning Centre project commenced in 2019, designed with two classroom spaces, an outdoor playground area and staff amenities. The Centre is positioned on the Narre Warren South (Early Years – Year 6) campus with easy access for families. Fitting out the second room of the Early Learning Centre is well underway with a proposed commencement date of Day 1, Term 1, 2022.
