The Adventist Book Centre has been kept very busy with web store orders since the start of Covid 19. However since Stage 4 restrictions came in three weeks ago our orders have nearly doubled each day and the staff have had a number of God-driven encounters.
In the last couple of weeks there have been number of customers who have said they haven’t been at Church since they went to Big Camp… when it was back here at the Nunawading Campground (think turn of the century!) and wanting to purchase a Bible. Tina had one gentleman who purchased three Bibles via click and collect, but then made contact asking if he have one if each of the different translations. He ended up with a total of nine Bibles.
Kim had a customer who purchased a bible story book for his daughter via click and collect. When collecting it, he told her he had not attended church for many years and then asked for a study Bible as he was interested in relearning the prophecies, given that “we are the last day”s. While waiting at the back door for Kim to bring some Bibles for him to look at, he started to look through the book for his daughter. He said to Kim “I think I’m going to learn from this story book too”. She suggested he read a Bible story to his daughter every night as that will be a good tool for him too.
They have had other customers talk to us on the phone who are realizing we are living in serious times and they are starting to think about their mortality and the future.
Please keep the Book Centre staff in your prayers, as they serve customers and talk with people who are searching for truth, but also for their health, as in spite of the necessary precautions, they are still in contact with the public as they serve every day.
