Our church building really helped us launch back quickly and safely. We’re one of the only Adventist churches we know of with an undercover, slightly inclined carpark and so we jumped at the opportunity to gather together again, albeit with social distancing and COVID-safe plans…it wasn’t quite the same but it was nice to see people again. Because our church has traditionally held two services concurrently we had to pivot during lockdown because even our livestreams were happening at the same time which would be chaotic noise in households where some attended our worship service, and some the other worship service of the church and so we moved our worship time to 2:30pm. As we’ve begun meeting again we’ve kept the afternoon meeting time which has seen more visitors attend than we would have initially thought, and so from an evangelistic perspective there are great benefits from a required pivot without any real thought as to ‘why.’
God truly has blessed and we’re excited by what this change might lead to for ministry in the future
