The Werribee Church building project, which is the newest church building in the Victorian Conference, is nearing completion.
This project has been six years in the making, after Werribee Church was earmarked as a strategic kingdom growth redevelopment project. It was our only physical Adventist church in a high growth corridor between metropolitan Melbourne and Geelong.
The vision was for the new Werribee Church to serve as a local regional headquarters, enabling pastoral staff and lay Bible workers to reach out and plant new congregations in the surrounding suburbs, such as Point Cook.
The site is prominent, on the main arterial leading to Werribee Central, and the modern and stylish building will catch the eyes of more than 18K passers by each day as well as providing an amazing platform to reach and witness to the surrounding community. The new building will have a dedicated children’s indoor/outdoor area, mothers room, meeting rooms, expansive worship hall and multipurpose annex.
The project was made possible though financial support from the SPD Church Building Grants program and the Victorian Conference, as well as many generous contributions from members and non-members wanting to support the local community.
