A few weeks ago we shared with you the story of Antonia’s baptism.
Charlie also returned from the same Camporee having filled in a commitment card, requesting bible study. He too had felt God’s Spirit moving on his heart while attending a friend’s baptism, confirming his desire to follow Christ’s example and be baptised. Charlie studied faithfully with Sylvia Mendez, never missing a week throughout last year’s lockdown. Charlie chose the recent long weekend to be baptised, when his Aunt and Uncle, Lili and Mat Panozzo, (who had started studying the Bible with Charlie) were able to return to Melbourne to be with him.
He had earlier given his testimony in church, looking forward to the baptism. It was a lovely sunny afternoon on the banks of the Yarra, that Charlie took this step in his Christian journey, witnessed by his friends and family as they praised God for this young man and his decision.
“It was great to see so many people from church and school and pathfinders that came out to support and cheer me on at the river, and help me in my journey. Thank you so much!” ~ Charlie
