Friday March 2 this year is World Day of Prayer, it is a day that Christians of all religions join together in prayer for a pre-selected country. The country this year is Suriname, a small South American nation with a population of only 540,000 made up multiple ethnic
groups. Poverty, pollution, lack of education and child neglect and abuse are significant issues.
Why be a part of World day of prayer? This is a unique movement where millions of Christians find a common place. Obedient to God they join together in agreement for their brothers and sisters in far away places. They attend services in churches different to their own and find a place of unity that is powerful in prayer.
