Connect with churches across Victoria as we congregate at Gilson College for a combined service with keynote speaker Steve Cowley, the Director of Adventist Education, where he will share how Jesus resonated with his followers through His “I Am” statements found in the Book of John.
We look forward to spending Sabbath with you!
About Steve Cowley
After starting his teaching career with St John’s College (Dubbo), Steve joined Adventist Education at Mountain View Adventist College (Greater Sydney), teaching Technology (woodwork, metalwork and graphics). He then worked in the South Queensland Conference for 16 years as a Principal (Darling Downs Christian School, Toowoomba), Academic Dean (Brisbane Adventist College) and Project Officer (South Queensland Conference). More recently, Steve was the Education Director for Adventist Schools in South Australia from 2019, expanding his role to also be the Education Director for Western Australia in 2023.
He has been married to his wife, Victoria, for 12 years and between them they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. Victoria is currently doing some casual office administration work for Nunawading Christian College. While they felt their work in Adelaide and Perth was incomplete, they chose to follow the call and prompting of the Holy Spirit, which saw Steve accept the role as Chief Executive Officer for Adventist Schools Victoria from January 2024. They both are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives in Melbourne and are keen to build on the work of their predecessors in continuing to shape and grow the purpose, vision and mission of Adventist Education in Victoria.
