Last month Simon Gigliotti (Greater Sydney Youth Director) facilitated the first of a series of relationship talks aimed to build up our young people who are navigating the season of dating, relationships, marriage etc after a number of youth were asking for one. The panel, which focused on the topic “How to pick the right partner” consisted of Pr Terry Johnson (GSC President), Pr Phil Yates (GSC Associate Youth Director), Pr Rosemary Andrykanus (Assistant Youth Director at VicYouth) and Pr Tacyana Nixon (Teaching Pastor at “One Place” fellowship located on the campus of Andrews University.
Over the course of 90 minutes, the panel discussed the questions “Is flirt to convert a legit thing? Dealmakers/breakers? What does wholeness in God look like?” and many more. We were very excited to hear from Tacyana who was supposed to come to Victoria to be our youth tent speaker at Big Camp this year. The good news is, we’ve got her locked in for Big Camp 2021!
This relationship series was the first of a four part series which will be streamed on the “Sydney Adventist Youth” page for the next three Tuesdays at 7 PM. Although streamed via the Greater Sydney Youth facebook page, VicYouth are working behind the scenes, collaborating with Simon to make this happen. We invite youth from across our state to tune in!
