“Well I’ve got COVID-19… need to get tested.”
This was among Rebecca Auriant, ADRA’s director for Victoria’s thoughts when she started coughing uncontrollably.
What a great year 2020 was – from bushfires to Covid response and now she had the virus too… “So I got tested, and praise God the tests came back negative.”
But that was not the end of the story. She recieved a call the following day, informing her that while she was Coronavirus free, she did however, have something else. Whooping Cough.
“One of my ADRA leaders discovered the news and the next day I received a surprise food package at my door. At my lowest, sickest point, my team was there.
“It reminded me of how food really is an act of love. Every time we feed someone we are showing Christ through this act.
“I am blessed to work with such an amazing team of volunteers who selflessly give themselves every day to support the least of these.”
