UPDATE FROM RECENT CONSTITUENCY MEETING

 AT THE CONSTITUENCY MEETING (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE SESSION) HELD NOVEMBER 8 AT SEDDON CHURCH, THE FOLLOWING APPOINTMENTS WERE CONFIRMED:

 Wayne Stanley - Conference President

Wayne Stanley has served the Victorian Conference in the role of General Secretary since 2003. He first entered full-time Ministry in the early 1980's and during his early ministry worked as a pastor in South Queensland and Tasmania, and as a Theology lecturer in PNG. His first administrative appointment came in 1996, to North New Zealand as Ministerial Secretary. He continued in this role in Western Australia, before being called to Victoria. 

Darren Croft - General Secretary
Darren Croft, senior pastor at Lilydale Adventist Church, Victoria, has been appointed to the position of General Secretary for the Victorian Conference. He excelled during his studies at Avondale College and has been in the Ministry for 15 years. Prior to Attending Avondale, Darren gained experience in the Banking industry. After graduating, Darren worked in both the South Australian and North New Zealand Conferences before coming to Victoria in 2002.  

Peter Lynch - Chief Financial Officer
Peter Lynch, Secretary Treasurer in the New Zealand Pacific Union Conference, has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer in the Victorian Conference. He has a wide range of business experience, having worked in Banking, as a business consultant and running his own business, and prior to moving to New Zealand in 2005, held the position of Financial Controller at Avondale College for four years.  

The Appointments Committee which convened on November 22, 2009, made the following appointments which have been accepted:
